Aragorn and Gandalf's ability

Anyone else misses Aragorn's final summon of undead cavalvy? His final summon ability now is not very powerful, the undead just remain still...
Also what is the use of lightning sword of Gandalf, is it efficient to heroes or structures?

Aragorn's final summon is supposed to keep foes, especially heroes close by to finish them off. If they'll try to run they are punished for it by the undead.
Gandalf's ability Glamdring (the lightning sword) is an ability that deals (very) heavy damage to a single target (it gets like 70-80% of the Balrogs life in one hit) but is severely weakened if it hits more than one target (so dont use it on units, its worthless then, it also spreads on to nearby units -> kill only separated foes with it )

How would I suppose to use lightning sword on single enemy, when they all stay together?
And I just don't get the idea of Aragorn's final ability, they can only deal very limit damages, and we lost the cool concept of undead cavalry
